The Plot
Vash the Stampede's a joyful gunslinging pacifist, so why does he have a $$6 million bounty on his head? That's what's puzzling rookie reporter Meryl Stryfe and her jaded veteran partner when looking into the vigilante only to find someone who hates blood. But their investigation turns out to uncover something heinous—his evil twin brother, Millions Knives.

Season Plot
Vash the Stampede's origin story, depicting a young, pacifist Vash and his psychokinetic twin brother, Knives, as they are born on a colony ship before it crashes on the desert planet No Man's Land. Separated by philosophical differences regarding humanity's fate, Vash becomes an outlaw to help people survive, while Knives pursues his plan to destroy humanity, leading to the events that create the legendary "Humanoid Typhoon". The season also introduces Meryl Stryfe, a reporter investigating Vash, and a new character, Roberto de Niro.
